Knowledge of the winning combinations is the key to your success as a gambler. Get acquainted with ABC of any poker game below (the combinations are listed from the strongest to the weakest).
Royal Flush -
A combination that turns you into the ultimate winner. Consists of the strongest cards of the same suit: 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace.
Straight Flush -
A sequence of 5 cards of the same category (e.g. any 5 of hearts). When two people get this combination, the winner is defined by the most valuable card in sequence.
Four of a Kind -
A combination of 4 cards of equal value (e.g. 4 Queens) and 1 kicker. When two people get this combination, the winner is defined by the most valuable kicker.
Full House -
A combination of 3 cards of equal value and 2 other cards of equal value (e.g. 3 Aces and 2 Tens). When two people get this combination, the winner is defined by the most valuable combination of 3.
Flush -
A combination of any 5 cards that have matching suit. When two people get this combination, the winner is defined by the most valuable card.
Straight -
A sequence of 5 cards of varying suits (all 4 can be presented). When two people get this combination, the winner is defined by the most valuable card.
Three of a Kind
A combination of 3 cards of equal value (e.g. 3 Jacks). When two people get this combination, the winner is defined by the strongest of any of the kickers.
Three of a Kind -
Three identical cards and two separate side cards are dealt. When there is a tie, the side card with the highest or second-highest value wins.
Two Pair -
A combination of 2 cards equal in rank plus 2 other cards also equal in rank (e.g. 2 Queens + 2 Tens). When two people get this combination, the winner is defined by the highest-valuable combination.
Pair -
A combination of 2 cards equal in value. When two people get this combination, the winner is defined by the most valuable pair.
High Card -
None of the above-mentioned combinations was made. The winner is defined by the strongest card in his possession.
